Meet the Family of Kia - The 2023 Kia Performance Cars

The new 2023 Kia performance cars lineup is already available for those who love sleek design and high-tech perks but never give up performance. The Kia K5 and Kia Stinger are the creams of the crop of the 2023 lineup, and we’ll analyze each of them in this article. Come with us to learn more about the trims, prices, and specs of each of them.

Performance and Driveability

The 2023 Kia K5 has four trims, three of which come with a 1.6L turbo engine, except for the top trim, which comes with a 2.5L turbo; all options have 8-speed transmission. Both engines work with gasoline direct injection (GDI).

Horsepower ranges between 180 hp on basic trims and 290 hp on the flagship model; torque capacity ranges between 290kg/m and 462 kg/m. As for fuel efficiency, basic trims make between 9.2L/100km (city) and 6.9L/100km (highway); the top trim makes 9.9L/100km (city) and 7.3L/100km (highway).

The 2023 Kia Stinger has three trims, which are similar in performance. All trims come with a 3.3L V6 twin-turbo engine, 368 hp, and a torque capacity of 559kg/m. The fuel efficiency is also the same for every trim here: 13.7L/100km in the city and 9.6L/100km.

Interior Design

All Kia vehicles are impressively comfortable, and the performance cars presented here aren’t different. The Kia K5 lineup comes with enough headspace (1,170mm) and legroom (975mm) for everyone, and seats come with several options for adjustments, such as height, multi-directional power, lumbar support and more. The basic upholstery is made of cloth, but it’s upgradable in the higher trims. The backseats can be folded to increase storage capacity.

The Stinger lineup is slightly less spacious but not less comfortable. It offers 939mm of headspace and 1,083mm of legroom. Adjustment options for seats are similar to those available for the K5 lineup. In both cases, there are also heated seats available, as well as leather-covered steering wheels.

Tech & Safety

Those who love to drive surrounded by tech features won’t be disappointed, regardless of the model of choice. The Kia K5 and the Kia Stinger come with a dual-zone climate control system, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Extra perks packed into the Kia Stinger include a Harman Kardon premium sound system with 15 speakers, a 10.25” touchscreen display, and a trip computer. Both lineups share some crucial safety features, like airbags, cruise controls, monitors for tire pressure, and blind spots.
