Kia Wows in 2015 J.D. Power Quality Study

Kia Motors Rises to the Top | 2015 J.D. Power Quality Study

Auto industry enthusiasts and car buyers can agree, Kia Motors is taking North America by storm. Recently reaching a personal best in the 2015 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, it was recognized as the second-highest scoring nameplate industry-wide in the study, which examined 33 brands. It marks an almost 20% improvement from 2014, and the third straight year of Initial Quality Study (IQS) improvement.
During the 2015 IQS, two models stood out from the crowd: the Kia Sorento and Kia Soul, which received highest scores in compact multi-purpose vehicle and mid size SUV categories, respectively. Meanwhile, the Kia Rio, Kia Optima, Kia Cadenza, Kia Sportage, and Kia Sedona all ranked in the top three of their segment. The 2015 IQS also reports that Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, which manufactures the Kia Sorento and Kia Optima, achieved the highest ranking amongst manufacturing plants in both North and South America.
ìKiaís rise is one of the industryís greatest success stories and is driven by the hard work of thousands of team members around the world as well as our long-term strategy to concentrate on quality, strengthen the brand and elevate the ownership experience,î said Michael Sprague, Chief Operating Officer and EVP, Kia Motors America. He also believes that the J.D. Power report is evidence that Kia manufactures world-class vehicles.
In the United States alone, Kiaís sales have more than doubled in just over half a decade. The last six years have not only seen a growth in sales, but Kia has left a stamp on the industry.
