2023 Kia Telluride

What’s New?

The Telluride is Kia’s best SUV offering, and many would agree that it’s the best three-row SUV that Kia has ever produced. In 2023, the Telluride gets some enhancements and a few minor adjustments that’ll make it even more attractive to buyers.

For starters, the rear and front have been revamped, the interior has been restyled to rival even the best luxury brands, manufacturers have installed larger technology displays, and drivers get more enhanced safety features. Best of all, buyers now have more adventure-ready trim options in the form of the X-Line and the X-Pro.

Engine and Performance

All models will be equipped with the 3.8-litre GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) V6. The engine can produce a maximum torque of 262 lb-ft and 291 horsepower. Under test conditions, the Telluride sprinted from zero to 100km/h in around 7.5 seconds, which is impressive considering the Telluride’s size. In addition, you’ll be able to haul a maximum weight of 2,268kg, and the X-Pro increases that weight by 227kg.

Exterior and Interior

Kia has made a few tweaks to the Telluride’s front and back features. At first, you’ll notice the prominent dual-bar grille design with the headlights on each side. The grille has been enlarged, and the taillights have been slightly revamped. The X-Line and X-Pro have slightly higher roof rails, and the grille has a more distinguishing design.

It must be mentioned that river visibility is excellent, with ample large windows. The Telluride is one of the few three-row SUVs that can fit adults in the third row, which is a huge plus point for the SUV.

Technology and Safety

Outstanding technology is abundant, and controls are very easy to reach and get to grips with. The instrument panel and the infotainment touchscreen are both 31.24cm in size. Other standard tech includes a six-speaker sound system.

The most impressive safety aids include the front collision warning system, which is effective at all intersections and the speed warning system, which will slow the SUV down in certain scenarios. More standard safety features include a blind-spot monitoring system, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, a parking collision avoidance system, and much more.

Trims and Pricing

The 2023 Kia Telluride is available in five trims, namely the EX ($49,995), SX ($54,995), SX Limited ($58,995), X-Line ($60,995), and the X-Pro ($62,595).

The X-Line and X-Pro stand out as the new additions. For better off-roading, both trims have an increased height of 21.33cm. The X-Line has 50.8cm X-Line Exclusive black alloy wheels. The X-Pro gets 45.72cm black alloy all-terrain tires. Both come standard with enhanced traction control.
