Biggest Upgrades from the Previous Year

The 2023 Kia Seltos has a brand-new exterior design with a more aggressive look and a sportier feel. It is also larger than before, with a longer wheelbase and wider track. All the lighting has been changed from traditional halogen to LED in the front and rear. The 2023 Seltos also features an FWD and AWD category, with the SX model having a different engine.

The interior has also been modified for more headroom, legroom and shoulder room for people in the front seats. Interior improvements continue with a new instrument cluster with blue backlighting instead of orange, updated door handles and other small details that give it an overall more upscale feel. The vehicle has also seen many more technology upgrades that we will discuss below, including the infotainment system and safety.

Interior, Comfort and Cargo

The 2023 Kia Seltos cabin is roomy and comfortable, with plenty of standard features. A good centre armrest folds down to add another power outlet, so you can charge multiple devices while on the go or even keep them powered up while parked.

The interior of the Seltos comes in two options, including leather and cloth. On the SX model, you even have heated and ventilated front seats. The steering wheel also comes in a heated option. The Seltos is one of the most comfortable compact SUVs on the market today.

There’s good cargo space in the Seltos, too. With 453 litres of room behind its rear seatbacks and another 226 litres under the cover, it equates to more than double what most compact SUVs provide. The rear seats fold down quickly if you need more space for something big or unwieldy, and it can be done in under 40 seconds.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

The Seltos features a full suite of driver-assistance technologies. This has become a pretty significant standard for KIA, and they have not disappointed. The Seltos safety features include lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning and autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Additional driver-assistance systems include driver attention warning, adaptive cruise control and high beam assist. Blind-spot detection also comes standard on all trim levels, as does rear cross-traffic alert and lane-departure warning.
