Sporty on the outside, luxurious on the inside, and as dependable as any vehicle on the road today, the 2019 Kia Optima has few peers in the mid-size sedan category. With the addition of a hybrid model, the Optima now takes on the ever-popular Toyota Camry for the title of "Best Mid-Size Sedan Hybrid. " Here's a look at how the two match up in most of the major categories.
Both base models of this year's Optima and Camry come with top-notch entertainment systems that feature Bluetooth streaming, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. The Optima also provides seamless integration with Pandora internet radio and "Song Tagging." Song Tagging lets users tag a song for later reference. Kia's UVO link controls the six-speaker AM/FM/MP3/SiriusXM system via a 203-mm TFT Touch-Screen Display.
In our 2019 Kia Optima review we stated just how comfortable the interior is. The Kia Optima and Toyota Camry hybrid cabins come nicely equipped for 2019 with standard features such as Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control, premium upholstery, and heated front seats.
