All-new, Fully-charged 2020 Kia Soul: New Design & Features

If any vehicle epitomizes Kia's philosophy of stylish, fun, and personalized driving, it's probably the iconic Kia Soul. Now the 2020 Kia Soul is all-new, fully charged, and better than ever. You'll see the new Kia Soul in Calgary at Eastside Kia in the Spring of 2019. But we have a preview for you now, thanks to the new Soul's debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. There may have been no dancing hamsters in sight, but the new Soul is still instantly recognizable by its distinctive square roofline. But underneath that roof, everything is all-new and better than ever.

Electrifying Style

Kia faced the challenge of redesigning one of the world's most iconic automobiles without changing its essence--the style, versatility, and driving fun that make the Soul truly unique. Luckily, Kia's designers were up to the task. The new Soul's lines are sharper, its dimensions are slightly larger, and its design elements are one step further into the future, but you'll still know a Soul when you see one. Narrower headlights give the Soul a fiercer gaze, while a more swept-back C-pillar leads to LED taillights that wrap around and into the liftgate. It refines the Soul's looks while keeping the heart of its design intact and quite distinctively a Soul.

New trim levels will be available that let you choose the most personalized Soul ever. An all-new GT Line will include unique styling elements like a dual centre exhaust, 18-inch alloy wheels, and gloss black trim. The X Line will offer rugged, off-road influenced design. A Designer Collection will offer two-tone colour schemes.

Inner Beauty

Style is more than skin-deep on the 2020 Soul. Its all-new and redesigned interior offers more panache and technology than ever before. Sound-reactive ambient lighting meshes with your personal playlist to create a one-of-a-kind experience. A huge 10.5-inch colour touch display dominates the driver-focused dashboard, making it easier to manage everything from your music to the available navigation system. An optional 8-inch colour head-up display can even show navigation directions on the lower windshield directly in your line of sight, along with your vehicle speed, Kia Drive Wise alerts, and more. This means you won't even need to take your eyes off the road to use some of the new Soul's best features.

Comfort and convenience features include Kia's Qi wireless phone charging pad, available heated seats, and an optional Harman Kardon premium audio system. 60/40 split folding seats and an available dual-level cargo board give the new Soul greater versatility than ever when it comes to hauling your stuff.

The Soul of 2020 Kia Soul

Driving fun is one of the Soul's hallmarks. For 2020, the Soul's power comes from an optional 1.6 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. We expect the turbo powerplant to crank out 201 horsepower and a robust 195 lb-ft of torque. There will also be an all-electric version (EV) for a truly futuristic driving experience with unmatched efficiency. The new Soul EV's battery pack will be twice the size of the current one for greater power and range than ever before.
